The Arizona Rangers, lead by a colorful ex-cavalryman named Thomas H Rynning, moved to Douglas to curtail the rowdy lawlessless. The group was made up of mix of hard-riding and straight shooting men from the Texas Rangers, Rough Riders and veteran Arizona law enforcement officers.
